Pat Sheahan - Head Coach and Receiver Coach
Pat Sheahan begins his eighth year at the helm of the Golden Gaels and his twenty fourth year as a coach in the CIS. Before arriving at Queen's in 2000, Sheahan was Head Coach of the Concordia University Stingers for eleven seasons posting a 66-41-1 record, two OQIFC Championships and the Stingers' only Vanier Cup appearance in 1998. Prior to his run with the Stingers, Sheahan served as Associate Head Coach of the McGill University Redman from 1984-1988. Sheahan was selected the OQIFC Coach of the Year in 1990 and 1998 and was selected as the OUA Coach of the Year in 2001. To date he has coached 28 players who went on to play professional football in the CFL or NFL and an additional twenty-one players were drafted or had pro try-outs.
Pat Tracey - Defensive Coordinator
Pat begins his eighth season with the Gaels and his seventh as Defensive Coordinator. Prior to his arrival at Queen's in 2000 he had an impressive fourteen year run as an assistant coach at the University of Guelph, his alma mater. As a player, Pat was a starting defensive back for the Gryphons for five years and a member of the 1984 national championship team. Pat also served under the legendary Ron Lancaster as a Special Teams Coordinator in 1998 when the CFL Hamilton Tiger-Cats made the Grey Cup final.
Warren Goldie - Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback Coach
Warren enters his seventh season on the Queen's staff and previously coached at La Salle Secondary School. In his playing days he had an impressive CIS career including quarterbacking the Western Mustangs from 1993-1995. He led the Mustangs to two back to back Vanier Cup appearances and helped win the 1994 championship game.
Chris White - Linebacker Coach
Chris began his university coaching career with the Gaels in 2004. He is a former graduate of the University of Guelph where he played four years as a linebacker and special teams player. In 1996 he was a defensive captain of the Gryphons Yates Cup Championship squad. In addition to his responsibilities to Queen's he also spends time coaching at Regiopolis-Notre Dame High School in Kingston.
Michael Carroll – Video Coordinator/Receivers Coach
Michael joins Queen's after a three-year stint with the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats as their offensive Assistant/Video Coordinator. Michael enjoyed an outstanding CIS playing career at St. Francis Xavier University in New Brunswick. He was the starting slotback in each of his five years and captaining the X-Men for three years.
Chris Green – Offensive Line Coach
Chris joins the Gaels Coaching staff after an outstanding CFL career. The Kingston native was drafted in 1991, 13th overall by the CFL's Toronto Argonauts after a university career that saw him start south of the border with the Mississippi Rebels and then later with the University of Ottawa. Chris was an Argo from 1991 to 1993 winning the Grey Cup in his rookie season. He finished his CFL career in 1997 after stops with the British Columbia Lions and Edmonton Eskimos.
Ryan Bechmanis – DB Coach
Ryan is a former Golden Gael having played for the Tricolour from 2001-2005. A native of Burlington, ON, he played in the defensive backfield during his time at Queen's recording 42 solo tackles and led the team with three interceptions in 2005. He spent the last three seasons coaching in Denmark and Ottawa.
Lorne Milsap - Recruiting Coach
Lorne enters his second season with Queen's and is responsible for identifying talent in Southwestern Ontario. He is currently a Physical Education and Special Education teacher at Listowel District Collegiate. A 1982 Queen's graduate, he has strong ties to the university and is a native of Peterborough, Ontario. This past June, he finished his Masters in Physical Education at the University of Victoria completing a thesis on student-athlete recruitment.
Steve Willard - Recruiting Coach
Steve joins the Queen's coaching staff after a distinguished career as an assistant High School coach at Thousand Island Secondary School (TISS) in Brockville, ON. In addition to coaching football at TISS he has been an academic resource volunteer for many years. In 2004 he assisted coaching with the defensive line and is now working behind the scenes to identify future Golden Gael talent.
Glen Williamson - Recruiting Coach
Glen has been with the Golden Gaels since last season and has coached high school football in Kingston for close to 25 years with Regiopolis-Notre Dame and Holy Cross Secondary Schools. He has 21 years of experience as an administrator having recently retired as Superintendent of Education with the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
